Stephen L. Meeks

Our Late Founder of Save the Boys

Stephen Meeks believed in a noble version of manhood—a soul-level version that has been slowly slipping away for a long time. His heart was to restore true manhood by bringing clarity and direction, along with practical help and encouragement, to men and boys living in this period of confusion, discouragement, and even disgust surrounding manhood.

As a licensed counselor, he went into the trenches with men working their way through wounded pasts, flawed messages, and personal failings, and led them to a place of clarity, strengthened confidence, and restored hope, helping them catch a higher view of what it truly means to be a man in all his noble roles as son, husband, and father. He was the founder of GoodSoil Ministries and the author of several books, including Save the Boys! and Manabouts Field Guide.

He and his bride, Donna, shared 5 adult children and 12 grandchildren. They made their home in rural Appalachia on a small farm in a log house, where he counseled, wrote, and dreamed of an epic fishing expedition in Alaska…with his sons and grandsons.

Marcus J. Meazzo

Founder and President

Marcus Meazzo's desire and mission to improve the state of manhood in today's social landscape came not only from the evident effects of fatherlessness and father wounds running rampant in America, but from his own trials and his need for the voice of a father in his own life. He knows firsthand what it costs a boy to grow up without that voice, and what it can mean when someone finally speaks it over him. Drawing on his collective experience developing rich media, events, and magazines, he set out to answer the call.

That's what brought him to Save the Boys. Marcus believes no boy should have to guess his way into manhood, and no father should have to figure it out alone. He's here to make sure this message reaches the fathers and sons who need it, and that the experience waiting for them is worth the trip.

In his full-time work, Marcus leads Meazzo Branding Co., where he partners with ministries, mission-led organizations, and some of today's leading authors and speakers, not only clarifying their message, but building the products behind it and shaping them into trusted, lasting brands. He lives in Jacksonville Beach, Florida with his wife and their two children, including a son of his own who keeps the mission personal.
